Blue Hills Reservation (Canton, MA)
I love hiking in the Blue Hills Reservation. On this Fall day, the skies were grey, the trees were mostly bare and the air crisp. I didn't bring my DSLR camera this day which is rare. This is my first iPhone photo of the month! This 1/2 mile of boardwalk through a marshy wooded section is my favorite area. I thought this panoramic photograph captured it's unique and fairytale feel.OCTOBER 2015
Hebron, CT (Gay City State Park)
A family that I have been working with for years chose a great location for their portrait session. After our shoot, I hiked through the state park to find my photo of the month. Fall is my favorite season and I like finding new ways to capture it's beauty. I was in very funny position with my camera facing straight up to get this perspective. Happy Fall!!SEPTEMBER 2015
Freedom, NH
I've been visiting this spot for decades and I've never seen it look like this. While enjoying one of the last Summer weekends with my family, we waited inside as a passing storm went by. I noticed the sun peaking through and looked up at the sky hoping to see a rainbow. When my eyes settled back on the water, I couldn't believe what I saw. This rainbow hovering over the lake, low and as if it was there just for us.AUGUST 2015
Eldorado, CO
I've been missing Colorado and my best friend so I went on a short trip to Denver this Summer. While my friend went to work, I went on a solo hike. I don't hike very fast because I can't help but photograph the landscape from all angles. I wanted to show the flowers in the foreground and the Rockies in the background.JUNE 2015
Point Reyes National Seashore (Bay Area, CA)
Story Behind the Photo
I had the opportunity to visit Reyes National Seashore in California. It was swarming with wildlife and within a few hours, I encountered a fox, deer, pelicans, and elephant seals! This shot was taken from a cliff walk to a lighthouse. I love the movement and colors in the water. Looks and feel like Summer to me.FEBRUARY 2015
Concord, MA (Walden Pond)
I'm always looking for new ways to capture each seasons' beauty. While snowshoeing on Walden pond, I spotted these abstract shadows along the edge. I loved how the snow looked like a canvas and the shadows, the paint. Finding this abstract winter scene felt right for this February.
