Barn Island Wildlife Management Area - Stonington, CT
The wind was relentless and the air freezing. It wasn't until I made my way to the bay side of this marsh that I discovered this scene. The spray was landing on the marsh and freezing the grass solid which visually mimicked the waves.MARCH 2017

Early spring can be so brown and grey that it can be hard to find compelling landscapes. I had a vision for this POTM shoot; to capture the blues of dusk. I waited for the sun to set and watched the sky change by the second. By framing this tree's silhouette it's clear the leaves haven't returned... yet!APRIL 2017

April's Photo of the Month
(Framingham, MA)
I didn't have to go far to find this micro landscape. While visit my family, I noticed these small purple flowers (probably considered a weed but not to me!). They were surrounded by fresh spring green grass and the dew from the morning lingered on the blades. I'm sure I looked silly trying to get this shot with my macro lens but I love finding landscapes vast or tiny. Happy Spring!AUGUST 2017
Crater Lake National Park - Oregon
Crater Lake National Park gets more than half a million visitors every year. I challenged myself to photograph this popular beautiful blue wonder with an original perspective. These purple flowers matched the vibrant hue of the lake and I love the contracting texture and color of the rocks.
