San Juan Island, WA - Friday Harbor
While visiting San Juan Island off the coast of Washington, I learned there was a population of foxes living on the Southern tip. I got up very early and just after sunrise, I spotted two silver foxes. I spent twenty minutes watching and photographing them. Occasionally they looked up at me and seemingly decided I wasn’t a threat to their breakfast hunt.APRIL 2019
Yellowstone National Park
A crowd gathered to watch this coyote in Hayden Valley of Yellowstone National Park. It started running parallel to the road so I went ahead a quarter of a mile hoping to get a closer look. I took this photograph as it ran right in front of me and it’s eyes met mine…JUNE 2019
La Jolla, CA
I was sent to San Diego for a corporate shoot. When I wasn't shooting for my client, I spent a lot of time along the coast capturing the wildlife of the Pacific. The seals were particularly fun to watch and photograph. I spent hours enjoying the wild seals playing, sleeping, and swimming. Happy Summer everyone! The Elephant Sanctuary - South Africa
This elephant was rescued and lives in a sanctuary.
This was taken in 2010 on my first trip to Africa. I was shooting for a food NGO and only had a few days off. I made sure to find the elephants! I spent my first day off at this sanctuary and my other day off on a safari. I was always interested in conservation photography and this trip led to the creation of my environmental media company, Wildlinks.OCTOBER 2019
(Waterton Lakes National Park of Canada)
This mama moose was standing over her young tired calf. Mostly covered by the underbrush, I could only see a little part of the baby. Moose have such a distinct shape and size. I find them so beautiful and equally dangerous. I was of course using a telephoto lens and keeping my distance. A mama moose can be more dangerous than a bull.
